Plunder Scenario 30

You supervise a team member who is unmanageable and whose insubordination threatens compliance with Procurement Laws. You follow all disciplinary steps in policy, but HR and your supervisor will not support dismissal. What do you do?

AP Response:

We sent an email clarifying that I could not be held accountable for the actions of an employee who was aware they would not be properly managed. From that point forward, we documented all relevant incidents and submitted detailed reports to HR and the supervisor on a quarterly basis. We also continued to address the employee’s behavior through formal disciplinary measures until he ultimately chose to request a transfer.
