Plunder Scenario 12

Your school district provides after school care for students from marginalized neighborhoods. They received private grants to fund activities such as dance classes. martial arts, music lessons, girl scouts, etc. How do you source the Contractors who will provide these services?

AP Response:

We issued a solicitation that established a maximum monthly rate per student for participation in each class. The resulting contracts made it clear that no vendor was guaranteed business; instead, it was up to each contractor to market their services directly to the after school program directors.

To support flexibility and choice, we created a Qualified Provider List, allowing each director to select from a pool of approved vendors. This approach eliminated the need for repeated competitive processes and ensured that students had access to a variety of enrichment opportunities.
